Purpose                                     

The role is responsible for operational planning, coordination support and compliance activities required to support the safe, reliable, efficient and compliant operation of the Australian operating fleet and coordinate requirements across operational, financial, compliance and stakeholder areas.

To role is also responsible for ensuring that landholders’ payments are completed as per the agreed contracts for the operational sites.

Key Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe major responsibilities of the position, including the expected outcomes, standard and timeframes. i.e. the what and the how.

Operations Planning and Coordination

  • Coordinate and reconcile the quarterly cost forecasting for both Opex and Minor Capex.
  • Control, manage and maintain the Operations job-based training management data base software. 
  • Administration of contract management platform (Rapid Global or equivalent), to ensure its availability for frontline operations.
  • Responsible for inventory management procedure, including execution of inventory audits.
  • Support to the annual Asset Management Planning cycle, including update of life cycle model templates and update of the actual operational data for previous financial year.
  • Support Production Team with preparation of the O&M Contractual meetings with key O&M partners, including relevant performance presentations and meetings minutes.
  • Support the Procure-to-Pay system for Operations including both Opex and Minor Capex related activities.

Compliance Management

  • Owner of overarching Generation compliance system, covering relevant policy and procedures, obligation registers as per the applicable legislation and internal corporate guidelines, in relation to planning regulations, licences, permits, and connection agreements. 
  • Monitor compliance requirements and associated due dates covering relevant inspections, testing, reporting, certification, audits and other obligations.
  • Obtain, review and maintain relevant documentation and evidence required to demonstrate compliance, including compliance reports, certificates, test results, inspection records and auditing findings.
  • Coordinate shareholder and external audits, regulatory reviews and compliance assessments.
  • Ensure that the Company’s compliance obligations are actively maintained, managed and kept up to date with particular focus on the compliance obligations allocated to the position title as identified in the Company’s Register of Compliance Obligations (as set out in the Compliance Procedure and as amended from time to time).

Landholders Management

  • Ensure that landholders registers and payments obligations are updated for all the operational sites
  • Ensure that the process and systems in place to coordinate the landholders’ payments are efficient and aligned with best industry practices.
  • Coordinate landholders’ payments for the operational sites, according to the respective landholders’ agreements.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders’ potential discrepancies that could occur regarding landholders’ payments.

Reporting and Documentation

  • Control and support update of operations’ procedures and drawings.  
  • Prepare compliance status reports, annual compliance reports and management dashboards for compliance monitoring
  • Prepare and manage the completion of the Operations Monthly Report.
  • Identifying potential continues improvement opportunities across the different processes and systems in place for the Operations team.

Knowledge, experience (including qualification) and skill

Knowledge and experience:   

  • Proven experience controlling construction, development or operational assets
  • Knowledge and experience working with a diverse group of stakeholders
  • Project management in both construction and operational environments

Skills:              

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills together with excellent proofreading skills
  • Excellent Interpersonal skills
  • Strong understanding of compliance obligations, evidence requirements, governance processes, deadlines and escalation requirements.
  • Superior time management skills with the ability to multitask and manage competing priorities

  • Advanced level of proficiency with using Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
